Richard Cardoos serves as Program Director for Connected Recovery and oversees all aspects of program operations, quality assurance, staff development, regulatory compliance, and client care. As a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC-I), Richard brings both leadership and addiction treatment expertise to the organization. He is committed to creating a structured, supportive, and recovery-focused environment that helps individuals achieve lasting change and long-term success.

Dr. Mallare serves as Medical Director for Connected Recovery, providing medical oversight for detoxification and residential treatment services. With extensive experience in addiction medicine and behavioral healthcare, he works closely with the clinical and nursing teams to ensure safe, evidence-based care. Dr. Mallare oversees all medical protocols, medication management, and client wellness monitoring throughout the treatment process while supporting clients on their recovery journey.

Jamila Charles-Cometa provides clinical leadership and supervision for all counseling and therapeutic services at Connected Recovery. With expertise in substance use disorders, co-occurring mental health conditions, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions, she guides the clinical team in delivering individualized treatment plans. Jamila ensures that every client receives compassionate, high-quality therapeutic care tailored to their unique needs and recovery goals.

Karen Stern oversees nursing services and healthcare coordination throughout the treatment process at Connected Recovery. As Director of Nursing, she ensures safe medication management, thorough client wellness monitoring, and seamless continuity of care from detox through residential treatment. Karen maintains the highest standards of patient safety and works directly with the medical and clinical teams to deliver comprehensive, integrated care.

Paige Grove provides individual and group counseling services while supporting clients through every phase of the recovery process at Connected Recovery. Her therapeutic approach emphasizes resilience, emotional growth, healthy coping skills, and sustainable recovery outcomes. Paige works collaboratively with the clinical team to ensure each client receives consistent, compassionate support throughout their treatment journey.

Shelby Baughn serves as Case Manager at Connected Recovery, providing individualized support to clients throughout their treatment journey. She coordinates resources, assists with discharge planning, and helps clients navigate the practical challenges of recovery — including housing, employment, and community support services.

Brittney Turnquest serves as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Connected Recovery, providing direct client care and support throughout the treatment process. She assists with daily living activities, monitors client wellbeing, and works closely with the nursing and clinical team to ensure each client receives compassionate, attentive care during their recovery journey.
